1. Who we are

Ethereum Wallet (“the app”, “we”) is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet for iOS. “Non-custodial” means only you control your keys and funds: the app is a tool that runs entirely on your device, not a financial service holding assets on your behalf.

2. Data we collect

None. The app does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information;
• Analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports;
• Device identifiers or advertising identifiers;
• Location data;
• Your recovery phrase, private keys, or wallet addresses.

There is no sign-up and no server operated by us that receives user data. The App Store privacy label for the app is “Data Not Collected”.

3. Where your keys live

Your 12-word recovery phrase is generated on your iPhone using the operating system's cryptographic random-number generator. It is stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain with the strictest protection class (accessible only when this device is unlocked, never synced or backed up to iCloud). Access requires Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.

We have no way to see, recover, or reset your recovery phrase. If you delete the app or lose the phrase, only your own backup can restore access to your funds.

4. Network requests the app makes

Like every blockchain wallet, the app needs to talk to public infrastructure to be useful. These requests are made directly from your device:

• Blockchain nodes (JSON-RPC): public Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism endpoints are used to read balances and broadcast the transactions you sign. A node necessarily sees the wallet address being queried and your IP address — this is inherent to how public blockchains work.
• Block explorers (Blockscout): used to display your transaction history and NFTs.
• Price data (CoinGecko): used for market prices, charts, and fiat conversion. These requests contain no wallet addresses.
• Token & NFT images (public CDNs): used to display token logos and NFT media.

These third-party services are operated by their respective providers and receive standard connection metadata (such as IP address) as any website visit would. We do not add any identifiers, and we do not operate any of these services.

5. Data stored on your device

Preferences (theme, currency, alerts, watched addresses, custom tokens) are stored locally in the app's sandbox and, for widget support, in a private App Group container shared only between the app and its widgets. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the app.

6. Camera and Face ID

• Camera is used only to scan QR codes containing Ethereum addresses. Images are processed on-device and never stored or uploaded.
• Face ID / Touch ID is used only to unlock the app and authorize transactions. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS; the app only receives a success or failure result.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and, since it collects no data, processes no children's personal information.

8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we collect and process no personal data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, delete, or port. Requests you may have under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws regarding data held by third-party node or API operators should be directed to those operators.

9. Changes to this policy

If the app's behavior ever changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date revised before the change ships.
